To make the work with WibTeX still more efficient, some keyboard shortcuts were implemented:

• To leave any formular (except for the main window), press the Escape key (ESC).
• To call the search function, press CTRL-F.
• To quickly navigate in the edit window between records, press ALT-Right and -Left, respectively (the arrow keys).
• To navigate between the views of a record, press ALT-Up and ALT-Down, respectively (arrow keys).
  
• To enter special characters, press F2 or CTRL-S. A window will pop up on the right, where you can click on the desired character to transfer it to the current field. When you change the charset, the effect will only be visible if you close the current data view and restart it from the main window.
• To jump quickly ahead in the list view, hit the first letter of the expression you are looking for.
